The alien Kronos is sent to the Earth, under the identity of Supersonic Man, in order to save it from Dr. Gulik's evil plans, namely rule the planet and kidnap Patricia, an eminent scientist's daughter and Supersonic's love interest, which involve such dangerous methods that could "break the Galaxy's equilibrium". This superhero possesses mighty powers such as flying, extraordinary strength, throwing fire and transforming handguns into bananas; he is also given a human identity, Paul, a reporter who can change back to superhero by activating a watch device and saying: "May the Great Force of the Galaxy be with me". Movie Trivia: The script lifts a scene from the screenplay of Superman (1978) that was not in the original theatrical release of Superman but can be found in the new video and DVD release, almost verbatim. It's the one where the hero (Superman/Supersonic) enters the underground lair of the villain (Lex Luthor/Dr. Gulik) and has to pass through some corridors where he is shot, frozen, and burnt. The hero Supersonic and his human alter ego Paul were not played by the same actor. Paul was played by Antonio Cantafora (aka Michael Coby), and Supersonic was played by bodybuilder and former Tarzan Richard Yesteran.
