In a post-apocalyptic world where the Russians have taken over a nuked USA and Elvis is king of Lost Vegas, "Six-String Samurai" chronicles the tale of Buddy, a hero who's a '50s rocker and wandering warrior rolled into one, too-cool package. Armed with his six-string in one hand and his sword in the other, Buddy is on his way to Vegas to succeed Elvis as King. Along the way, he saves an orphan who decides to play tag-along to his rescuer. What follows is the road trip from hell.

Movie Quote(s):
- Buddy: Don't touch my guitar, man.
-
Buddy: If you scratch my guitar, I'll kill you.
-
Buddy: Float away, little butterfly. Just flutter away. I got a gig in Vegas. And the wastelands ain't no place for kids.
-
Mesh-Head: If I were you, I would run. Buddy: If you were me, you'd be good-lookin'.
-
Death: Only one man can kill this many Russians. Bring his guitar to me!
Movie Trivia:
- Filmed only on weekends, since Justin McGuire still had to go to school during production.
-
The squashed "de-anamorphic" effect on the opening title sequence is an homage to years of VHS fullscreen movies that had their widescreen titles similarly squashed. Many projectionists have mistakenly swapped out their lenses in the middle of this sequence. Ironically, the video version of the movie is letterboxed (although the cable broadcast version was not).
-
The band The Red Elvises who are featured throughout the film's soundtrack appear as themselves, the band with the "nice shoes". The large, triangular string instrument that one of the band members is playing is an electric balalaika.
-
Jeffrey Falcon did all of his own stunts free of wires and special effects.
-
The 'tiger claw' Soviet soldier towards the end of the film is Jeffrey Falcon's brother Noel.
