Reminiscent of "Pleasantville", in this Gothic comedy heroine Abigaile Archibald suddenly develops a speaking voice in a world that is otherwise silent. Movie Trivia:
- Michael Pleckaitis and his wife posted audition notices for cast and crew on various Internet forums and received a huge response. They narrowed the pool down to about 60 actors and five crew members. None of them was paid.
-
In the winter of 2006, Katie Ritz acted out a drowning scene in the icy waters of Boonton Falls in 12-degree weather - with her arms and feet chained together. "The event had to be police-supervised," recalls Ritz, 26, a newcomer to film. "I was thrown into very fast-moving water, it was freezing cold."
-
Even though it's a silent film, the actors still needed to learn and say their lines out loud.
-
There were no changing trailers. On weekdays, the cast arrived from work and pulled the costumes on over their street clothes. On the weekends, they often endured shoots that last up to 48 hours.
