An alien starship crashes in a swamp in a U.S. National Park. Some mosquitos begin to feed from the alien's corpses, causing them to grow to the size of a vulture. Movie Trivia: During the scene where the two fishermen are attacked in their boat, Matt Hundley, the special effects man on the film, was chosen to be the anchor in the water, with weights tied to his feet, to hold the boat steady. Matt informed everyone that he couldn't swim but he was chosen to do it anyway. Matt Hundley was not the first choice to do special effects for this film. Another special effects artist started doing the effects for the film but mid way through, he said "I'll be right back, I'm going to get a pack of smokes," and never came back.
