While filming the climatic scene in the barn when the creature chases Bret (Kevin L. Powers), director Ron McLellen, suited up as the Jack O'Lantern monster, jumped off a haystack, landed on the camera, and knocked himself unconscious briefly.

SPOILER: During the scene where Christine (Tracy Yarkoni) holds a gun to her head and fires off screen, the character was supposed to die, but when the actress playing Page (April Glover) was unavailable to finish her scenes, the script was rewritten, so that when the gun goes off it accidentally shoots Page instead of Christine.
