Spoiled - Janice (Faye Grant) is knocking herself out trying to revive her love life. But her doctor-husband (Alan Rachins) is too busy perfecting a long-term anesthesia for even a "routine physical" with his wife. Frustrated that her husband can't see beyond his stethoscope, Janice "plays doctor" with someone else. Poor Janice should have stuck to daydreaming.
Maniac At Large - With a serial killer making headlines, neophyte librarian Margaret (Blythe Danner) wants to book it on home. Her supervisor (Salome Jens) assures her the reporters are just drumming up fiction to sell more papers, but Margaret can't shelve her fears. As they both find out, book smarts alone can't keep a killer out of circulation.
Food For Thought - Zambini (Ernie Hudson) bills himself as "head honcho" of his traveling sideshow act. But his wife Connie (Joan Chen) is the real brains behind their mind-reading routine. Obsessed with mastering the mind games that Connie plays so effortlessly, Zambini becomes a psychotic "psychic-wanna-be" who won't let his wife have a mind of her own.
