Plot Description:
Anton would like very much to go about his daily routine of smoking weed, watching TV, and lusting after the girl across the street. The only thing stopping him is his demon-possessed right hand which seems determined to kill anyone it encounters. After dropping his parents and his best friends, the hand sets its sights on Molly, the punk rock girl of Anton's affection. Luckily for him, Pnub and Mick (his recently deceased buds) are back from below ground to help the problem get solved. Only they better get cracking because the hand is out for more than just a killing spree. If it gets its fingers on Molly before midnight on prom night, her soul is hell-bound.

Movie Trivia
- During the scene at the school dance, the band is The Offspring.
- While Anton is vomiting in the bushes when Pnub and Mick show up, Molly (Jessica Alba ) can be scene far in the background, on her balcony, playing a bass guitar. This is a remnant from a deleted scene.
- Elden Henson 's character name, Pnub, is an homage to Eddie Murphy's famous SNL skit in which he plays buckwheat, singing "wookin' Pnub ina da wong places"
- The dish soap that Anton (Devon Sawa) squirts into his mouth after attempting to smoke Nutmeg and Oregano is real dish soap. Sawa came up with the gag on the spot.
- Filmed in the same neighborhood as Halloween (1978) .
- When Anton kills the two police officers, Pnub shouts out "Go, go Buffalo". This is a reference to a deleted scene in which Anton remembers the two police officers as "the head and ass of the school mascot, Go, go Buffalo"
- The trailer contains a scene of Mick and Pnub ascending a heavenly staircase wearing football equipment. This is a scene from the alternate ending included on the DVD.
- The voice that says "Murder in Bolan" on the newscast that Anton is watching is that of director Rodman Flender .
- The film, in which the main character kills his parents and his two best friends (albeit not intentionally), was delayed in its release because of the Columbine massacre.
- Tom Delonge from Blink 182 makes a cameo as the drive thru employee who says "Alright!"
Movie Mistakes
- Continuity: When Anton pulls away after hitting Debi with the Ford, both hands can be seen on the steering wheel.
- Continuity: When Mick is feeding the "head" on the chair cheese balls, the number of cheese balls laying in front of the head changes every time the camera cuts back and forth.
- Continuity: In the opening sequence where Anton's Mom and Dad see the words "I'm under your bed" on the ceiling, the words originally are displayed upside down from the head of the bed; when the words are again shown they are right-side-up to the head of the bed.
- Continuity: When Anton and his dog, Duke, are under the sheets, their heads are at about the same spot. But when it cuts just before Anton goes to get the phone, his dog's head is not under the covers.
- Continuity: Anton pushes Pnub and Mick towards the Dance with both hands.
- Continuity: When Pnub's head is first severed it is detached from the neck, but in the later scenes the severed head still has the neck attached.
- Continuity: When Anton kills the two police officers, Pnub shouts out "Go, go Buffalo" a punchline without a setup. This is a reference to a deleted scene in which Anton remembers the two police officers as "the head and ass of the school mascot".
- Continuity: Before Anton screams that they're out of milk, his pipe on the bottle disappears and then reappears.
- Continuity: The X-Marks on Debi's map changes over the shot.
- Miscellaneous: Anton disconnects the blue mouthpiece to his "asthma inhaler" and begins to light up, however the mouth piece is knocked out of his hand when Mick reaches through the ground and grabs Anton. When Anton stands up, the blue mouth piece is still attached.
- Crew or equipment visible: When Pnub is trying to run out of the door after Anton kills Mick, he opens the door for a second and a light stand is visible.
- Revealing mistakes: After slipping on the blood at the base of the stairs Anton's mother's knee pads can be seen as she gets up to run up stairs.
