Days before the annual opening of Slaughter on Second Street, Owensboro's premiere haunted attraction, a tragedy befalls one of their own. Despite pleas from the manager, Buck Masters, the attraction is shut down until the mystery is solved. In his frustration, Buck devises a plan to get the haunt back on its feet and make some extra money while he's at it. Playing on the rumors that the attraction may in fact be haunted, Buck brings in paranormal investigators to prove the rumors true. The investigator's arrival is met with the feeling that something isn't right, but it's just another job...Or so they think! An unfriendly encounter with the building's maintenance man, Mr. Jenkins, makes the team realize that the history of the building is far darker than they could have ever imagined and they may actually be visiting one of Owensboro's most haunted sites. Locked in overnight, along with Buck, they begin their investigation which becomes interrupted when three volunteers appear from the dressing room amidst their goodbyes for the season they had worked so hard on. As the night goes on, the volunteers begin falling victim to fatal accidents that may or may not be supernatural. It is then that the investigators must solve the mystery of Slaughter on Second Street. Who will survive and who will die trying?

Movie Quote(s):
- Stephanie: You guys need to get laid! Chevy: If I had a dollar for every time I heard that I could afford sex.
-
Doobie: I bet that guy's so old he farts cobwebs.
-
Mr. Jenkins: Ain't no ghost story I tell you kids is gonna help you tonight. These grounds don't need no sructure to take the blood of the innocent. The roots of evil have grown deep, the seeds of sin were planted long before this horrid building was ever constructed. It took the lives of three just days ago and left one alive. Marked as a warning for those who wish to trespass.
-
Mr. Jenkins: You must be one of them ghost hunters? Chevy: I was back when I was alive. You scared me half to death. Mr. Jenkins: You don't know what death is! Chevy: That's comforting.

Movie Trivia:
- Sonny Landham was originally cast as the Mayor until a very public statement where he offered up Arab genocide as a resolution to high domestic oil prices.
-
Production Assistant Steven Phelps was known around set as the "on-set sleeper" as he was found on several different days fast asleep during production. Several pictures are known to be floating around showing his catching some shut eye while scenes were being shot.
-
Actor Robert Denton was originally cast in the role of Grayson Abernathy as the filmmakers did not believe he could fill the role of Chevy due to the characters emotional range. It wasn't until they lost the first Chevy that they gave in to the Casting Director's suggestions and cast him in the role that would ultimately define his career.
-
The first version of Hallows Eve was set in a haunted community theater. The filmmakers were called to a meeting the day principle photography began where they were presented with a new contact that would surrender their rights to the film upon completion. Refusing the demands of the new contract caused them to lose the location mere hours before they were to begin shooting.
-
For actor Marty Moorman Hallows Eve marks his first opportunity to spread his artistic wings. The role of the security guard was written specifically for Marty based on his type of humor and personality.
