A prestigious fairytale illustrator is hired by the psychiatric hospital director. His job there will be to decorate the hospital walls with his drawings to improve the place's atmosphere. Movie Trivia: Most of the time at the shooting, Juanjo Ramírez (director) and Alby Ojeda (director of photography) were alone. 70% of the movie was shot by only two people. Many of the materials that were used to construct the sets were picked up from the garbage. Recycling is an important concept in Going Nuts. Everything in this movie is moved with human hands. There are no electronic devices, nor computers effects. Because of the lack of money, Going Nut's staff spent three years making the movie. Everybody worked for free, and in their free time. Alby Ojeda and Juanjo Ramírez decided to work at the movies when they saw Terry Gilliam's "Twelve monkeys". Ten years later, they make Going Nuts (their first long movie) and they don't realize that they are making a movie about crazy people in a mental asylum, just like "Twelve monkeys".
